Murphy's Law

I started my "CELTA" course on Monday, and it's now Wednesday and I'm sick. The course is a lot of work since I have to prepare lessons everyday and teach them. There is so much to do, and I couldn't afford to get sick, but sick I did get. I started feeling sick last weekend; my throat was scratchy, and I felt really tired.

Yesterday and today, I feel a lump in my right gland on my neck. I've had strep throat before so I know that is what it is. Today I went to get penicillin and you can get that over the counter here. It was cheap and easy to get. I left school at lunch today, and slept for three hours upon arriving home. Murphy's law that I would get sick now that the course has started.

I just hope I feel better soon because I don't feel like doing anything and I'm extremely exhausted. I have to teach a lesson tomorrow, and I'm being assessed. Hence why I'm here at the internet cafe, although I feel like being in bed at the moment.

I have tons of work to do this weekend. So, I hope the medicine kicks in fast. I am learning a lot about grammar terms and different styles of teaching English. It is great to be taught as a student again.

This has been another day of Jo's Thai Adventures.
